Dr. Matthew Justin Satcher, MD

I received less than adequate care from Matthew Satcher, and have decided to switch PCPs. I had chronic abdominal pain that Satcher literally poked at about 5 times, then said it’s “probably due to me not eating well.” After a later visit to the urgent care it turns out I have a hiatal hernia- my stomach is going up into my chest cavity. Thanks Satcher! On top of that, after trying to switch from Adventist to OHSU, I had a “mystery provider” from Adventist Damascus actually CANCEL my scheduled ultrasound two days before it was to occur. Patient advocacy is currently involved, this is the second appointment in one month that Adventist has decided needs to be canceled for no reason, and without letting me know. This is a highly religious, conservative provider; if you are not a cis hetero white person, please try to find care elsewhere. Also keep in mind this facility was not taking covid precautions during mandate, I had a nurse remove her mask because “it was fogging her glasses”… during our very short interaction in a closed room. Overall bad experience.

He's horrible, him and some of his staff have been so disrespectful and rude on several occasions. Would not recommend this man or his office.

Spends a great time with patient and is very good explaining treatments and very caring. would recommend to everyone.
