Our original doctor was out so he was on call for him, had an issue come up after discharge and he was very rude, yelled at me over the phone, very very condescending. I understand that being a surgeon and being on call there’s no telling what he was working through or anything but the least he could do was be a little compassionate and consideration. If I could give him a 0 stars I would. Dr. Shane, learn better bedside manners please.

Arrogant, condescending, and dismissive. Did not inform patient that they would be ventilated after surgery and left the patient alone in recovery, which caused a panic attack. When attempting to relay patient's concerns or wishes, became combative and yelled. Took the patient's old trach out of a bloody biohazard bag and shoved it back in. Leaves passive-aggressive notes in medical chart. Absolutely dehumanizing experience from the first moment.

I had Dr. Shane when he was in emergency medicine. I had been there many times before. When he treated me, he did not stop until he solved my problem. I highly recommend Dr. Shane if you are looking for quality care.

Dr Shane literally saved my live. He performed emergency surgery on my “gut” and I believe I would not be around without his surgical skill He has a great bedside manner. Can’t say enough great things about Dr. Shane.

Dr. Shane was wonderful. He listened to me and let me help in making decisions about my care. I get pretty sarcastic when I'm nervous and he bantered right back. He didn't sugar coat, just got to the point. I'm in minimal pain after the surgery amd can move around pretty well after less than a week. I'll definitely recommend him and go back should I need another surgeon.

Dr Shane and his group were recommended to me for an inguinal hernia. First surgery in 50 years ! Procedure was quick, and while I did spend the night (arranged ahead of time), I didn't need any pain meds. Not even Tylenol. Two days after discharge and I'm feeling great. Incision sight is tender, but nothing that needs even aspirin. Nice guy to chat with, busy but willing to spend a few extra minutes if you ask, and everyone on his team was full of helpful information. If you need him, I'm sorry, but also happy to recommend him 100%. Good luck.

Absolutely will not go back! His bedside manners are horrible.Wouldn't take time to listen, VERY DISREPECTFUL AND UNHELPFUL! RUSHES IN AND RUSHES OUT AND A COMPLETE SMART ELIC!

WAS VERY RUDE AND WOULD NOT LISTEN TO PATIENT. I FELT DEGRADED AND SHAMED AND WAS TOLD I NEEDED TO GO SOMEWHERE ELSE FOR HELP.
