What a treat to experience at urgent care, a physician who takes the time to patiently listen and understand. Dr Varner explained well my diagnosis and prognosis. I found him to be a very kind, gentle, and thorough soft spoken man, who obviously knows his trade. I highly recommend this physician.

Rude. He was horrible. Probably the worst doctor I have ever seen. zero interest in helping us out. Wasted time.

I've seen Dr. Varnet twice and both times he's been very nice and professional. You can tell he truly cares. Nausea carrying about my illness and injury, he made small talk about my profession and seemed really interested in hearing what I thought about my work. Turns out, he has worked in the same field before and even knew my company. Besides a great doctor, he's a great person! I would recommend him to anyone!!! :-) Besides just diagnosing me, he was there talking with me quite a bit. Including bringing me my papers and prescriptions instead of pawning off that task to a nurse or aide. He made sure I understood everything. Some other doctors could learn a thing or two from Dr. Varner.

I went into Urgent care after a week of experiencing UTI symptoms, which have never been an issue before for me. I normally run low grade fevers when I become I'll, usually never over 100 as my baseline runs a little lower than normal. As an emergency medical student myself I was attempting to be thorough in asking questions to Dr. Varner on my particular concerns of the possibility of kidney infection or septicemia after a prolonged period of symptoms I had been experiencing. When I said my nurse had stated I had a low grade fever when my vitals were taken he had said "whoever told you that is an idiot." Then proceeded to review my entire vital statistics to me over the last two years about every fever and temperature I had to explain to me what a fever was. Dr.Varner had absolutely horrid bedside manner, regardless if it was urgent care or if it was in his family practice he did not make me feel taken care of in the least bit, nor will I ever return to his practice.

I found Matthew to be very approachable. And as a woman I have never felt more comfortable with a male doctor than with him during my urgent care visit. I actually felt more comfortable with him than any other doctor I`ve visited with in the past (including women,which says a lot for me.) He came across very comforting with great listening skills and did not rush me a single bit, even though my visit was very minor. Would love to continue visits with him in the future and I also highly recommend him to anyone serious about finding a great doctor who is approachable and sensitive to patients.
