The whole team was just fabulous through my entire course of treatment. Dr. Vernon is very knowledgeable and explains what radiation entails in an understandable way.

Dr. Vernon takes the time to explain symptoms and processes in a way that is understandable. He is very personable and listens to you rather than staring at a computer. If you have treatment at the cancer center in Bennington I hope that Dr. Vernon is your oncologist.

Dr. Vernon was great! I wish I had a place to write a review of the radiation therapists and other support staff too, the whole team is just fantastic!

Honestly I just couldn't have been more pleased with the care I received for my prostate cancer in the radiation clinic. Dr. Vernon was great, always willing to take the time needed to help any issues you may have and reassure you that things are going well. He was just marvelous and very patient when you have a million questions. The radiation therapists and other staff were phenomenal as well, I got to know them well over the course of treatment and they are just the most caring group of people you will find. They genuinely care about their patients. Obviously I never would wish cancer on anyone but I actually had mixed feelings about finishing up treatment by the end, I am actually going to miss going in. Keep it up guys!

Dr Vernon brought the human factor back into my cancer battle with his brilliant mind,bedside rapport,and up to date knowledge.Open communication was key in my treatment and I never felt hurried or like I was just another "breast" passing through his office. In this day and age that was amazing! Dr Vernon went to bat for me when a surgeon at another hospital re-imaged me too soon and scared the wits out of me.( I had finished chemo only a week earlier and hadn't started radiation yet), He spoke on my behalf to other doctors( who hadn't even spoken to each other about my case -Atrocious!) and communicated directly to me,filling me with reassurance to continue.he knew it was much too soon to be tested by those problem chasers! Dr Vernon fielded many, many questions and concerns, never caring how long it took to answer them. He explained everything clearly and he could quote all the latest studies and apply them to my case with confidence, therefore filling me with confidence! To… the patient, Cancer is life or death.It alters reality. To most doctors, in these days of too many patients,we are just another Breast or another Prostate. Dr Vernon is the exception. His sense of humor was a huge help in my emotional health along the way!! His staff consists of reassuring, knowledgeable technicians! I would highly recommend Dr Vernon and the radiation department to anyone who has to fight the horror of Cancer!

Undergoing treatment for cancer I had the chance to meet quite a few doctors over the last year, but there were just a couple that stood out as really exceptional, including Dr. Vernon. He just seemed to have a genuine caring for what I was going through and went out of his way to make the process as smooth as the circumstances could possibly allow. Definitely recommend.
