I miss him taking care of me. He took the time to really listen to my needs and take great care of me. I moved away and the doctors where I'm at now don't listen or care for you as fast. I have a pain on my side for 6 mos. I'm in a lot of pain and they still don't know what it is yet. I just pray I will be ok.

He was my doctor for 3 years, picking up where previous doctors left off due to PCS moves. He didn't seem to bother to read my records and usually brushed off concerns about chronic health problems I'd had for years. Finally, when I began to lose the ability to control my arm I asked for an MRI and his initial response was that it was a lot of paperwork and his attitude was dismissive. I told him I'd had an MRI 5 years previously and he was surprised. Because he didn't read my records. Eventually I had the MRI and ended up having spinal cord surgery to help correct the problems I was having. He also consistently brushed off my concerns about other problems I was having. I do not see this doctor anymore. He treated me like a hypochondriac when instead I needed treatment. I tried working with him for 3 years and all I learned was if a doctor just isn't interested in helping or working with your right away, they never will.

Dr. Wonnacott was our family physician for three years at Misawa Air Base. He is caring and careful, well educated, and takes the time needed to be sure all questions are answered and problems resolved. You would be lucky to have him for your doctor.
