Dr. Mau Khac-Minh Nguyen

Mau Nguygen DDS: Dishonest, incompetent, does unnecessary dental work. He extracted tooth, did implant surgery & crown. He states I had pain needing the tooth extraction, not true. Office records show I did not need a tooth extraction by the periodontist. He redid surgery 2 more times/ stitches & gum would fall off, which required antibiotics and liquid diet for 34 days. He shorten/changed shape of the crown instead of matching size/shape of the extracted tooth. His reason: protect his implant/crown by not letting it touch lower teeth and would not be used to bite food. He shorten implant more. Now I had jaw/teeth pain. To alleviate the pain, every visit he shortened crown & 3 lower teeth. I think the tooth in front of the crown was shortened. He said that was my only option. I was getting pain/aching from my teeth & left side of face shooting up to my left eye. I now have occlusion problem, He had thrown my jaw off! His recommendations at his new office: I sue my dental… group because they made the money and he did not. He said to solve the problem he would have to put braces on my teeth, I was 64 years old, pay him $2,100 for bite/occlusion evaluation, & a $750 night guard (for me he would lower price to $550 - I sleep open mouthed). Because I said no, he wanted me to sign a release that would say in general he did everything right and the tooth had to be pulled. I declined. He said I should be grateful that he is fixing the problem. He said he would replace implant/crown and had me sign a paper that he explained all his warnings to me of problems that can occur e.g. Implant failure if I do not do the above recommendations and that I should sue my dental offices. I asked the receptionist for a copy of what I signed. She brought him to the desk and he said I did not need a copy and have never seen it since. But later I saw a different one. My dental office blocked his emails, & parted on unfriendly terms. My dental office at no charge replaced the crown etc.
