Dr. Maung M Kyi, MD

I am a lupus patient with 24 hr urine indicating lupus nephritis. I saw Dr. Kyi and he ordered a kidney ultrasound in addition to lab and blood. The kidney ultrasound indicates scarring of my kidneys. Upon follow-up Dr. Kyi says I did not do my 24 hr collection correctly because the results could not be as is. Claimed I would have had to collect 4 extra hrs of urine (I did the test 100% accurately as I've had this tests before), claims the ultrasound technician that read the ultrasound made an error in his evaluation. Told me I should be happy that I do not have kidney disease......And yet the labs and ultrasound and symptoms indicate otherwise. I asked him to repeat the 24 hr urine if he thinks it was done incorrectly and his reply was: "No....cause you will just do the same thing again." Only now do I look at his less than shinning reviews and rating. Best to pass this doctor up in favor of one who actually relies on the tests he orders....
