Dr. Maura Elser Eriksson, MD

The most dysfunctional place in Virginia. Dr. Killian and Dr. Pooja are great but the place is going downhill fast with Dr. Maura running things. If Dr. Maura would fire her dysfunctional daughter from the front desk and then remove herself from everything but being a doctor who sees patients, this place may have a chance. So many patient complaints daily, the billing is almost 80% always incorrect (check your Bill's parents and always keep a copy of that receipt when you pay). If I could give this practice zero stars I would. My advice, never work here and find somewhere else to take your child. This place IS NOT WORTH THE HASSLE!!!!

Dr Eriksson take her time with the patients but the office staff that she have is not the best. You call to make an appointment and you have to leave a message and they returned the call two days later. We went for a vaccine which it was with the nurse we have to wait for more than one hour. Other day we went to see Dr Eriksson and we wait 45 minutes in the room. I like Dr Eriksson but it take to much time to see her, doing appointment or waiting for her. Her staff is not friendly and not organize. They charge me copay for vaccines and they don't have to do it.

If you have a healthy child and need a generalist practice in Centreville, go ahead. The doctors are fine.If your child requires any special needs, such as a preemie from the NICU, I highly do not recommend this practice. Based on our experience, we found that this practice lacks the experience and training to proactively provide adequate care for a preemie. The key to preemies is early intervention. T he doctors at this practice discourage the use of outside specialists and do not proactively address medical conditions that are now taken serious by other doctors with the proper neonatal experience after we left this practice. This is very important. This practice does not have any staff capable or dedicated to dealing with the special medications, specialty pharmacies and just the special requirements needed to deal with insurance and medical companies for preemie kids. Expect failure or significant delays to get your child the required medications. If you are a preemie… parent, you know what medication ($$$) I am talking about.
