Dr. Maureen Shaw Terranova, MD

I never have experienced such a cold doctor in my life. The experience was shocking considering I’m a first time mom who sought out the care of my health care professional when I truly needed help. I sought help and I got none. Dr.Terranova had no insight to not issues, no medical information to guide me with, and treated me like I was a child. She didn’t seem to care about my well being or the well-being of my baby. I could not believe her bed side manner was so poor , but Worse than that was the fact that she didn’t have any answers to any of my questions. Seeing her was truly a horrible experience.

I met Dr. Terranova at a conference a few years back at a restaurant in Rhinebeck. I was looking for a new obgyn doctor since mines moved out of state. I was hoping this would be my last time finding a new doctor so I did my research. She is awesome!! I feel confident when I visit with her and all my questions are always answered and explained. She never forces you to make a decision you are not comfortable with. I would definitely recommend her to anyone.

Absolutely love her. She is caring but also to the point. I love that she listens and acts and doesn't guess. Aside from being my regular doctor she did my hysterectomy and had a fabulous bedside manner, was quick with results and answered all my questions, however silly they may have been!! I also sent my grown children to her

Love love love- can talk to her about anything ! Makes you feel so at ease . I'm in the medical field myself and I highly recommend her to anyone!

Dr. Terranova is thorough and thoughtful. Pre-natal care was excellent and c-section was very smoothly.

I had a very horrible experience dealing with this doctor. I am an educated adult , and feel as though i was being treated like an ignorant child. She really does not have the experience or the knowledge i would expect from someone in her position.

I personally cannot say enough good things about Dr. Terranova. She is gentle and accurately diagnosed my problem, performed the procedure I needed to have done and explained everything to me. Although she is not what I would call "warm and fuzzy", I found her to be personable and knowledgeable. I am very happy with her would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone needing a good ob/gyn.

I went to this Doctor because it was an all female practice which until now used to matter to me. I waited forever to get an appointment. I was treated like cattle when I got there and when I finally met Dr. Terranova she had her back to me while I tried to explain why I was there and walked out three minutes later. It's hard to believe that there was any wait time to see this doctor because after going there once I will never return and will spread the word to other women as well.

I was told that Dr. Terranova's group was all women and I thought that would mean better understanding of women's problems. It is not true. Her lack of knowledge about women's issues is scary.

Unlike the other medical staff at this particular practice, Dr. Terranova has a very poor bedside manner, is very cynical about diagnoses and is "cold" overall. I expressed worry regarding a particular problem that'd come up in my most recent pregnancy, and Dr. Terranova didn't seem to care that I was a wreck with anxiety. I did not feel comfortable with her as my OB at all whatsoever, so I switched.
