Dr. Maurice-Pierre Page, MD

The office staff here managed to convenience the Dr. Maurice Page that I'm not committed to my bariatric program for a life saving lap band conversion to sleeve. Due to insurance requirements a 6 month supervised diet was required. In the last 10 years I have lost 100lb kept it off and have visited the doctor for follow ups over 100 times. The office staff made a point to make it difficult to reschedule appointment and went so far as to make up missed appointments so Dr. Maurice Page would fire me as a patient. I have a 10 year old lap band that is failing and my original Dr. Price at this office is deceased. So this office that convinced me to have weight loss surgery with a life long commitment to maintenance has decided I'm not committed enough to have a life saving surgery. The facilities are questionable at Mt. Carmel as they are dated and the professionalism of Dr. Paige in handling this situation is alarming. The office staff has no interest in a patients health or well being… they just intimidate you and when you push back this is what happens. The office manager Kitty is responsible for this debacle as she made a point to have me fired after begging to remain at the office. I'm not going to argue with a doctor who doesn't want to care for a patient I just want others to know what to expect if they commit to the bariatric program.
