Dr. Maurizio Zambenedetti, MD

Dr. Z has made a huge difference in my life. He is a very kind and compassionate man, and I feel he truly cares about me and how I'm doing. Thank you for everything!

It took me 3 years of fighting with him to return me to meds I had been on for 15 years. When he finally prescribed them, he was amazed and constantly questioned me about how I felt. It amazes me that a doctor had not heard of meds that I was on and refused to research them. If it were diabetes or heart disease, my treatment never would have been changed or meds eliminated. His staff is another story; constantly talking about patients after they leave all the while thinking that a mere piece of glass would keep their voices from the waiting room. Stay away!

I saw him for about two years. Wanted it to work out. Realized he was pretentious and he made me worse off, not better off in the long run. He doesn't respect you. The first day I met him he said "we'll see how much trouble you will be." He also dismissed my therapist, saying he had way more experience in psychiatry than she had. But here's the catch-- She's helped me far more than he ever had. Stay away, Dr. Zambenedetti is your average cocky psychiatrist who will not address your concerns. Your mental health is too precious to let airheads control your meds.

I paid about two years of 40.00 co-pays to see this lunatic. Stay away. This man is spastic and seems very uneducated.

Dr. Z cannot keep track of his patients. He is rude, judgmental and scatterbrained. He prescribed an ADHD patient with a month supply of adderall TWICE within two weeks without realizing it. Surprise, surprise! The ADHD patient lost the second paper prescription and therefore could not get it filled at the time it was due (insurance companies and pharmacies actually do keep track of that, believe it or not). When asked about the issue, Dr. Z decided to write the patient off as a prescription drug abuser instead of admitting negligence on his end as the prescriber or at least making an appointment to sort it out with the patient. He is a detriment to anyone suffering with mental and behavioral health issues, especially adults with ADHD. The mentioned patient has a life long history of depression and anxiety prior to the ADHD diagnosis made by a credible physician, but Dr. Z’s self confirmation bias appears to have clouded any realistic medical assessment beyond his medical and… intellectual capability.

I think Dr. Z needs to stop taking whatever he is on. He has gotten progressively worse over the past two years. I don’t understand how anyone can see him who has anxiety— he is an anxious mess himself! Numerous occasions of poorly written/wrongly dated scripts that needed to be confirmed or re-retrieved. Getting a refill on time is like a seeing a shooting star... it could happen, but probably won’t.

We trusted him with our sons care for a couple years, then were dismissed by him abruptly when questioning a change in meds… not challenging; just questioning… turns out he doesn't like being challenged, and as he dismissed us out of his office, we now have to find another dr. Don't challenge the emperor, apparently…

Doctor Zambenedetti is very easy to talk to and really cares about people and he is the first Doctor in 4 years that has helped me
