Dr. Mauro Vido Montevecchi, MD

Dr. M. Montevecchi is an amazing cardiologist! He is the doctor that sits and listens, truly cares about every patient. Dr. M. was the one that caught my rare heart defect. Since I met Dr. M. he has been by my side figuring out what to do next. In my opinion Dr. Montevecchi saved my life. I have seen cardiologist since I was 15 years old with severe chest pain/ passing out episodes. I wore halter monitor after halter monitor, never found anything. Was told that I was ok. It would happen again. And again scans, bloodwork, halter monitors. Nothing. Was told I was fine. Now feeling like I’m losing my mind, I know something isn’t right. Fast forward to now being 33 years old. I have a severe episode and I had to go via ambulance and was told I had acid reflux. That I was fine. But just to be safe I was referred to Dr. Montevecchi. I went to the appointment expecting to hear, “ It’s acid reflux, you are fine!” Dr. M. caught my rare heart defect. I had open heart surgery to fix the defect.… I haven’t had a passing out issue since. My heart is healthy, thanks to Dr. Montevecchi! Now I have something going on with fluid collecting in my pericardium, the sac around my heart. Now this has nothing to do with my previous heart issue. My heart is still healthy. But if the fluid continues to build or keeps coming back can cause major issues. Again by my side the entire way, Dr. Montevecchi. From ER visits to hospital stays, always checking in. Always making sure everyone has my entire back story. I am extremely thankful for all he does. Just wanted to give you a shout-out Dr. M. From a appreciative, difficult patient.
