Dr. Mauro Silva, MD

Dr. Mauro Silva is a gastroenterologist who specializes in diagnosing and treating disorders of the digestive system. He earned his medical degree from McGovern Medical School at UT Health in Houston and completed his residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. Dr. Silva furthered his training with a fellowship at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, where he gained specialized expertise in gastroenterology. He is fluent in both Spanish and English.

Dr. Silva practices at Texas Digestive Specialists in Harlingen, Texas. His clinical expertise includes treating colon polyps, gastritis, and dyspepsia, which is commonly known as indigestion. He performs colonoscopies to screen for colorectal cancer and other digestive conditions, as well as lower gastrointestinal endoscopy procedures to examine the digestive tract.
