I recently met with Dr. April for my son’s adenoids and tonsils. Upon entering the exam room he didn’t even have the decency to look up from the computer screen. He didn’t introduce himself, shake my hand or make eye contact with my son. He asked, while staring at the screen, how could I help you. I explained the issue and he told me to sit in the chair with my son on my lap. The exam lasted one minute. He got annoyed when my child asked how the light worked. He comes highly recommended as a competent surgeon but showed, at our appointment, that he is incapable of acting like a human being with grace. He is arrogant, lacks patience with children (pretty ironic since he’s a pediatric ENT) and appears burned out! What physician behaves like this? I will not be returning to him for further follow-ups or surgery if required.

Turbinate surgeries from ent doctors can cause Empty Nose Syndrome, which damages the nerves in your nose and makes you feel like you're suffocating. Think again before having the surgery.

this doc is the best . my son have problem with sleeping and he snoring while he sleep, i take him to see doc max, he suggest us to do adenectomy. my son only 2 years old . i was so worried. doctor explain how to do the surgery and how to take care after . the surgery was success . he did a very good job. my son didn't feel any pain after the surgery.doctor called before the surgery and after the surgery to ask hows my son doing. highly recommended .

If you want a good surgeon that knows what he is doing-Max is your man. You want someone who is warm and fuzzy-he's not. I have to say eben though he was not that sweet to my daughter, she still loved him. I felt very SAFE with him doing the surgery-She needs her tonsils out now and he no longer accpets my insurance. I went to two different ENT's who I won't have do her surgery. I have decided to try his associate Dr. Voight as he comes highly reccomended as well and it's the closest I can get to Dr. April's caliber of excellence.
