Dr. Max Elsenheimer

I recently had the misfortune of being treated by this physician, and I am deeply concerned. He initially was very dismissive, lacked any emotion or concern. During the conversation about treatment options he informed me that he had no interest in following the ER care plan on file that was carefully constructed by multiple specialists to manage the pain I was in. My mouth flew open in surprise and despair. He was locked in on my face and suddenly his whole face lit up, he smiled with such full satisfaction. His overjoyed smile was because I was in pain and he was excited that I realized he got to keep me there. When reviewing the care notes the next day we discovered that he had lied openly, used inappropriate and disparaging language. We had to start the formal process of having the care notes amended because the information was so damaging and false. The mental toll from this abuse is just as damaging and dangerous. I am now suffering from severe life ending ideation. The thought… of having to interact with physicians like that again makes me want to end my life. I feel such debilitating fear and anguish, shame for needing help, guilt for the time and resources needed to help me. It was so dehumanizing and humiliating that I would rather die than have to endure another interaction with him again. At the very least this man is a huge safety concern, at best incompetent. He has severely impacted my quality of life and caused me extreme duress. Protect the people you love and do not use this dangerous provider.
