Dr. Max Noel, MD

Dr. Max is easy to talk to and shows interest in what you are saying. I find his staff and the other doctors very professional. I would like to single out one particular staff. I have been in the reception area when very disrespectful patients are present. The new secretary who seems very experienced handles these situations with such respect and calm. I would over hear these patients and be totally surprised with her calm response. I have no problems getting a quick appointment when needed.

My mother is an 84 year old patient of Dr. Noel. On our first visit, he was charming and gentle. We were completely satisfied with his service. Since then however, we have not been able to see him at all. We’ve been pushed off to other doctors that are not familiar with my mother’s records. So much so that one over prescribed a medication to my mother. If it were not for the Walgreens pharmacist refusing to issue the prescription my mother may have experienced real harm. The office staff rarely answers the phone and when they do they are curt and unkind. One doctor swore to my mother that he had met her and my sister before when it was our first time meeting him. It almost turned to an argument because he was determined to prove that he was right. They close the doors to the office earlier than their posted times and getting them to refill prescriptions is unduly difficult. At the beginning this COVID19 crisis and the national mandate for social distancing, one of his nurse… practitioners that made a disastrous home visit to my mother walked up to her in the Walgreens as she was sitting and waiting for her prescription to finally be filled. The nurse practitioner leaned in close, touched my mother’s hand without gloves to say “hello”. She didn’t ask if anyone was with her and didn’t take any of the precautions that a front-line health care worker should take in dealing with an elderly patient with high blood pressure and diagnosed anxiety. My mother did her best to be polite as I was rushing over to see who this stranger was talking to my parent. The nurse did not acknowledge me, but instead rushed out of the store. My mother was startled and it took her a moment to recognize who she was speaking with. These are just a few examples of the awful experiences I’ve had with this physician’s office.

Office may need refreshing after 14 yrs.

Dr. Noel was listed as my doctor by my insurance. First visit, dilapidated house, run-down bare bones waiting room and a desk staff that makes no attempt to be helpful. Dr. Noel? Well, only one visit but he didn't seem concerned about my elevated BP. Was going to change, but thought I'd go back once more for test results. Appointment at 2, with TEN people ahead of me. 90 degree day and low/no air conditioning in the waiting area, but the back, where the Dr. works was cool and comfy. Staff offered to "open the door" to make it more comfortable (other patients were all women in there 70's, all sweating). Asked for office manager, not there. I've now been waiting 45 minutes and there are still 5 people ahead of me. I decided to leave (before I passed out from heatstroke) but I did tell the Dr my concerns. No answer. Didn't get my test results. DO NOT GO HERE. Bad staff and it's a dump.

This office is one of a kind the staff is caring while maintaining their professionalism all I can say is thank you and to those doctors the world needs more like them
