When I switched from VA to civilian healthcare, I did a great amount of research before selecting Dr. Rattes as my cardiologist. My own experience can validate that the positive reviews of Dr. Rattes are true. His physical exams are very thorough and not rushed. It was obvious that he reviewed an extensive set of medical history records while he examined and questioned me about my prior cardiac events. He is highly knowledgeable, professional, very friendly and mild mannered. He is a good listener - it is easy to ask questions and discuss treatment options during exams. He ordered tests as appropriate and when warranted ordered further testing. The result was the discovery of a significant blockage in a previously placed stent. The recommended angioplasty and stent prevented a major cardiac event and probably saved my life. His staff is also professional, competent and friendly. Highly recommended.

Dr Rattes is professional, personable and very knowledgable. He takes the time to speak with his patients without cumbersome medical jargon and demonstrates genuine concern for the comfort of his patients. Dr Rattes is a credit to his profession.

Dr. Rattes is very comprehensive. He reviews tests results very thoroughly and explains medical issues and risks in detail. He always wants to be sure he has answered your questions. He also referred me to a great specialist for one condition.

it takes me 1 plus hours for me to see the best cardiologist..I would not go to tgh hospital thru intense stress driving unless I felt Dr Rattes was the best for me

I have not received treatment form Dr. Max Rattes but my husband has been treated by Dr. Max Rattes. My husband and I were new to the Tampa, FL. area, when we suddenly realized that my husband was in need of a cardiologist. Dr, Max Rattes was recommended to us, and we both found him to be very thorough during my husband's examination. He was methodical and professional in his approach, and covered all the bases when treating my husband. I am happy, as well as my husband, in the outcome of his situation.
