Dr. Maximillian Joseph Soldenwagner

I had my annual check up on 02/2023 at another eye chain. After having a major surgery (not on my eye) back in March, I noticed my right eye was getting blurry and I started having migraines almost daily. It progressively got worse so I made an appointment on June 19th at Americas Best in Racine WI. I had my appointment with Max Soldenwagner DO. Max was great! He took the time to help me understand what the issue was with my eye. He diagnosed me with a Posterior Sub-capsular Cataract in my right eye. This came out of nowhere. Developing cataracts at 52 was hard to wrap my brain around when the average age for cataract surgery is 73. Max could tell I was having a lot of anxiety by what he found. I knew something was wrong but surgery? Really??? Instead of looking preoccupied with “stuff” in the room or leaving the room to do “other stuff” while leaving me alone while I waited for my eye to dilate like most other places, he stayed and we had a nice conversation which calmed my… anxiety. Max gave me a referral to an Ophthalmologist. He did in fact diagnose my eye correctly. I’m having cataract surgery tomorrow 7/12/23. I’m glad I went to see Max as this form of cataracts worsens very quickly. I’m able to get this fixed before I’m no longer able to work, drive, read or function like I normally do. A few more days watching Netflix won’t be so bad. Who from Wisconsin wants to enjoy the limited sunshine we get anyway? Right? Thank you Max Soldenwagner DO for diagnosing my eye issue properly and guiding me in the right direction so I can get my eye treated and see clearly again. -Lora

He is so young and he acts like it. He is overconfident and lacks the experience and bedside manner required for such a job. He lied to me and wrote up a report that was false and put me through A LOT! I got a second opinion that can try and fix things up (the experienced 50-year-old doctor really knew what he was doing). Maximillian is overconfident and is someone that is best avoided until he is better at his job. AVOID!
