May Melyn Galbreath

May Galbreath is a nurse practitioner. Centerstone set an appointment for me with her after my psychiatrist retired. I had an excellent experience with my psychiatrist for over 10 years. He took the time to know me, my medical history and all the things I had to deal with in my life. He was very kind and patient. May Galbreath was none of those things! Based on less than 30 minute interview, she changed my medication dosage. The dosage has been excellent for me for many years. She grilled me with questions that were already in my medical files. She claimed she didn’t have any of my files! She claimed she asked everyone the questions she asked me. I felt like I was being interrogated instead of diagnosed! I felt like I was being accused of being a drug addict and that is not true. I have about 35 drug allergies and that fact has caused me a lot of problems in finding medication that I am not allergic to and is effective. My psychiatrist knew all this and other factors of… my medical history. She told me right at the beginning of my visit that I only had a half hour appointment and it was mostly used up by her interrogation questions. I am not a person given to anger but I was angered by her cavalier approach with me. I would not recommend her to any mental health patient, especially if you are accustomed to being treated kindly by your health care professional. I will not see her again!
