Dr. Maya Bose Vinod

Met Dr. Vinod for the first time today...Took my 6 week old son in today to be seen for bronchiolitis. Dr. Vinod was wonderful! Not only does she have out of the ordinary, kind, bedside manner, she spent a lot of time with us, and did not rush through appt, skooting us off with another Rx of antibiotics, or some other drug that will not help my child. For those of you who seek homeopathic remedies, she is the doctor to see for your child. She is careful not to prescrible anything that isn't absolutley necessary. The last pediatrician I saw was drug happy, as are many doctors. There are times when medication is necessary, but most of the time, without hesitation, a child is sent home with a drug or antibiotics that will only comprimise their litle immune systems, when a simple natural remedy would do the trick....We did an albutral (sp?) treatment at the office to see if it would help my son with the congestion in his chest. It helped a little, and she said that was probably more… due to the mist of the nebulator than the drug itself, so I was not prescribed albutral...She even recommended a natural remedy for my older two boys who are also sick right now. It is really hard to find a doctor who will integrate holistic knowledge. I will definiteley be taking all 3 of my boys to her from now on.
