Dr. Mayer Fishman, MD

My husband was diagnosed with renal cell carcinoma in 2005. It was after he had a kidney removed that we visited Dr. Fishman. He is an exceptional doctor!! My husband was his patient for five years before we moved out of state and no other doctor could compare. Dr. Fishman you were a blessing to my family and I am sure you have blessed many others since. Thank you so much!!!

Dr Fishman is one of the best physicians I’ve ever had. He has incredible knowledge in his field. He treats his patients with compassion and respect. I highly recommend Dr Fishman. Thank you Mick Carlson 4 time cancer survivor

He took over where my last oncologist gave up. He spends time to explain it all .

Consistently runs 2 hours behind. If you were the patient, would you want to sit in the office waiting for 2 hours time and time again? Your patients aren't there with allergies and your lack of respect is shameful. Hard to get phone calls returned. Again, what if this was you, Dr.?

Was initially misdiagnosed by Moffit and recruited for no less than 12 clinical trials. Dr. Fishman admitted that Moffit should be renamed "Moffit Research and Cancer Center" since they are so beholden to pharmaceutical companies for testing of expensive drugs. The ads for this place make me sick(er)! During one visit, Dr. Fishman confused me with another patient, looking at his chart and reading off of it. I corrected him on the spot and told him he simply couldn't be my doctor. He was disheveled and fighting a head cold, but obviously hadn't looked at my charts ahead of time. His staff has a great turnover rate and simply can't get their stuff together scheduling-wise- Moffit has been a debacle for us, even though their blood-drawing personnel and most infusion nurses rock. You actually feel like you are in an assembly line awaiting your turn- very little personalized treatment- kind of scary when dealing with life and death issues.!

Not once but twice we were given a mis- diagnosis in this office. Dr. Fishman did not look at us throught the whole visit and never appologized for reading someone elses chart to us. We were told in a follow up visit to my husband having his left kidney removed, that he had a tumor in his right kidney. after several minutes he realized he did not have our chart. Soooo UNACCEPTABLE!On top of that, he had not even reviewed our chart or scans but sat reading them and mumbling in front of us.My husband doesn't have strep throat, he has CANCER. if you want to be cared for like you have a serious disease, this isn't the place for you.

This Doctor has to see way to many patients- has no treatment plan- difficult getting phone response from office- no personalized interaction- more like you are a number to get in and out so he can get to the next patient-
