Dr. Mayra Ivelisse Cruz Polanco, MD

Tasteless clinicians who lacks accountability. She would continuously spell my name wrong on patient site smh. Don’t expect to be able to speak up for yourself and it will be easy. Cruz and Michelle will try to consider you a difficult patient .

Dr Cruz Polanco cares about her patients's holistic health and wellbeing, and does a thorough health assessment asking about family, work, exercise, diet, mental health. She really listens and cares. She has gone over and above, squeezing me in for double appointments. She refers to excellent specialists in the Beth Israel system if that is needed. She is well respected by her colleagues both within the clinic and in the Beth Israel system. I highly recommend her.

She has an attitude and her staff seem pretty stressed out.

Do not ever, EVER raise you voice at my mother! Shameful!!!!!!!

Dr. Cruz Polanco stormed into the room, on my third visit with her, hollering about how rude I'd been to her staff. I started to cry. I have PTSD. Apparently, it had been a different patient, in a different room, who had been rude. I learned that later from the staff, not Dr. Cruz Polanco. She didn't so much as excuse herself. She seemed nice at first, but I was horrified, and never saw her, again. She lists Chronic Disease management and Eldercare as clinical interests or specialties. I find this fascinating. I would not advise anyone not well enough for a fight to enter her office. I'll never forget her voice, or her face. :(
