Dr. Medhat Samy Fana Michael

If i was sick he did the job right, gave me good medicine, gave me a nebulizer treatment, he was good at what he did, He was never inappropriate to me, even though im a male. I tried not to believe what they said on the news about him harrassing his nurses, because i knew he was a good person.

Very good doctor in diagnosing my medical problems. I went to many other doctors but this was the one who diagnosed the real problems.

My family had an issue with this doc over a year ago, complained to Medical Board but they almost laughed at me!! Hopefully justice will be served!!!

I have seen Dr Michael for over a year and have never experienced any problems. He cares very much for my welfare and treats myself and my husband like family. I can't believe that people forget that in our country we are innocent until proven guilty. Stop persecuting him unless he has been proven guilty.

This Dr seems to know his stuff, but is extremely sexually inappropriate with his staff. I would not go to him unless you want to get harrassed.

I began going to Dr. Michael for sinisusitis when I couldn't get into my primary care doc for 3 weeks. Then began going to him more when I found he caught things my primary doc missed. He talks to you, he answers questions and he's really down to earth. And he cares. If you don't have insurance he lowers his rates to help out. And it is soo convenient. Plus he's even open on weekends. Great Doc.

I researched Dr. Michael before taking my foreign exchange son to see him. He is affiliated with two excellent hospitals, Integris an Deaconess. He is well trained and his office staff were very professional. We had about a thirty minute wait which is very reasonable in a walk in after hours clinic. He put my son at ease by sharing his love of American and his wonderful experiences here. He identified the issue and treated him and sent us off for appropriate prescriptions as the antibacterial cream I was using at home was not strong enough (impetigo). He also wrote him a prescription for an oral antibiotic as well and told us that we must come back in 7 days for a follow up appointment so he could see if it was clearing up appropriately and said to call him if it got worse. His staff seemed very knowledgeable and eager to assist. As for the comments I read on this site, I doubted them. He teased my son about having a "hicky" infection, as he is a teenager, but he never crossed… a line with anything inappropriate to me or my son. I do not believe all the info on these posts, and due to his affiliation with the other hospitals, I doubt he is a pervert or he wouldn't last very long. All clinics go through a lot of nurses because they usually pay less than the hospitals, and everyone wants a higher paying job and working at a clinic gives nurses good experience before going to a hospital and looks good on a resume. Nursing is a high turnover business. Some of the comments sounded like disgruntled employees to me. As for the guy without insurance who didn't want Dr. Michael running the necessary tests to diagnose him, I understand why Dr. Michael was frustrated. Most clinics would have not offered the appropriate care and would have taken what they could. Dr. Michael suggested he go to the ER because he needed the tests and obviously didn't want to pay for them. At least at a hospital he could have received a proper diagnosis and got on a payment plan since he didn't have insurance. The lady whose daughter had a rash/hives, I believe that her daughter was appropriately diagnosed and she didn't follow through with the treatment or there would have been improvement. Rashes are common in small children but you have to be diligent in treatment or they will get worse, quickly. As a mom, I have been it that situation and the daycare my child was in didn't give him the prescriptions while in their care and it got worse. I took off work until it cleared up. I was impressed with Dr. Michael and his staff and I will go to him for future "weekend" emergencies when I cannot get in to see my family doctor. Also, my foreign exchange son really liked him as well.

This guy has been trained medically in both Egypt and the U.S. so he knows his medicine. He remembers my family, we treat eachother as friends but with respect to his position as our physician. Wonderful, caring, outgoing, are all qualities in this physician. When my wife gave me a virus that had sent her to the E.R. at 3am, I visited Dr. Michael who had treated my wife's recovery from this extremely violent virus. He saw me checking in with my wife and immediately took me to the back, put me on fluids(IV) as I was dehydrated from throwing up and the diaherria associated with this virus. I was allowed to recover in his emergency room for well over half an hour with no rush to get me out of his way. Took care of my like I was his own son. He took better care of me on the whole than the E.R. did for my wife! Great Doctor!

I went to him once about 6 months ago about an ear problem, he gave me a low dosage Antibiotic and i took it for about 2 weeks, i came back then got a rude look from him after he said i had not taken all my meds on time or at all! I was very offended because i had told him i have a tolerance of this medication because i have been using it for quite awhile now. I just recently went back to visit him i kept breaking out in hives and my hands/feet were swollen. I had a 45 min wait total of 5 misn with the docter and now im home taking meds that wont let me sleep or eat and my hives are still here along with my swollen fingers...Not impressed.

The doctor had very little interest in what I had to say and had even less interest in answering my questions. He was VERY quick and forceful in wanting to run expensive labs and procedures. He was extremely rude and demeaning regarding the fact that I didn't have health insurance. He basically wrote me off and didn't want to treat me because I didn't have insurance and told me that I should just go to the emergency room and get treated for free like the people that jump the border. DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.
