Dr. Meenakshi Chandubhai Patel, MD

Dr. Patel is literally the worst doctor that I've ever encountered. Her medical knowledge is poor. She is very careless about labs and other important results. She misses important diagnoses and brushes off your symptoms. I had to go to a new doctor who diagnosed me properly and couldn't not believe that Dr. Patel missed all my symptoms. On top of that, her office staff is so dumb and incompetent that they ALWAYS mess up insurance and billing. AVOID this practice at all costs, especially Dr. Patel.

My mom has been in the nursing facility under her “care” for rehab for 2 weeks for a fall. The dr immediately took away her pain meds (she has severe rheumatoid pain and has been on the same meds for years that we’re working for her). She has literally gotten worse every day! I have told them daily that if they can’t get her pain under control then she can’t complete the therapy. So of course, they’ve dismissed her from therapy because she’s not making progress! They’ve basically sentenced her to a life in bed because the dr refuses to address her pain. Before you go to a nursing home, be sure to ask who the doctors are and avoid her!

I would not recommend her services to ANYONE all she prescribes is Tylenol and Claritin. I work at one of the nursing homes she is over as the leading physician and I kid you not the patients are suffering. They are constantly in pain, suffering from different psychiatric issues but yet everything is determined "dementia". I really feel bad that the families are so in the dark on this and rely on the doctors to be there for there families and make there end of living peaceful but unfortunately that is not the case. I hope someone steps in look at this problem because with my title my hands are tied and ill probably loose my job :(

My parents went here, the office was dirty, the Doctor billed the insurance wrong (clearly not the first time based on other reviews) she asked my mother the same question three times and did not even answer my mothers questions. The office was disorganized and the staff was unprofessional - one of the girls was on her first day and did not know what she was doing. Dr Patel was in a hurry because it was the end of the day - if you are going to be a Doctor -TAKE THE TIME TO BE PROFESSIONAL AND CLEAN YOUR OFFICE!!!!

She is by far the worst physician I have ever been to. First of all, there is no way you can understand her. Second, she doesn't have any knowledge about anything. Go get if you have a regular cold that can treated withy over the counter stuff. Third, the staff is by far the worst. So unhelpful, rude and outright disrespectful. Lastly, she is the worst when it comes to billing. I have been trying to trying to get her to fix her mistake (she wrote a wrong medical code for one do the tests so insurance rejected it) for the past 2 years!!! Plus she lied to me and told me that she fixed it, but then I called the insurance company they said that they never got anything from her ever since she sent the wrong code the first time!! If you are looking for a physician that actually cares for you and wants to see you get better, don't waste your time on her.

I think the most memorable part of my experience was the compassion and excessive time she took in hearing my story. Often doctors don't do that anymore. Everything was very clean and her staff and her follow up with me routinely. I have recommended many friends to Dr. Patel as well.

I went in to see Dr. Patel on suspected hormonal issues and other various problems like depression, fatigue etc. etc. hoping for some guidance as to where to turn next. She was rude and unprofessional, and her bedside manner was terse and uncaring. I began to get frusterated with her lack of communication. She makes you feel inept, and stares at you blankly like I wasn't asking the right questions. She will not provide a well-rounded experience or work with you. I asked a million questions like, 'what do you think of these symptoms?" "I no longer want to just treat the symptoms, where else should I go?" "What questions am I not asking?" "What bases should I cover?" "What else could this be?" and she stared at me blankly saying, 'I don't know.' After this exchange, she left after only seeing me for 5 minutes and I waited for 45. When I asked her to come back in to speak with me and my mother who was there with me, she was exasperated and insulted me and my mother by using extremely… technical jargon and ackronyms which we clearly did not know the meaning of. We tried, kindly as possible, to tell her that we, 'just want some idea of how to go about getting better' as most soecialized offices need referrals, I was hoping to get her to give us an idea of where to go next. Awful experience.

Spends ample time explaining the diagnosis and treatment options
