Dr. Meeney Dhir, MD

Excellent diagnostician, fantastic bedside manner and communication skills. Kind and caring.

I began seeing Dr. Dhir earlier this year when I started having unusual heart rate and chest tightness, usually at night. I wasn't sure whether I was having a panic attack or, with a family history of heart disease, the beginnings of a heart attack or other heart issue. I was able to get an appointment, and she went to work to quickly get an answer about my symptoms. I had a couple of tests in her office on the first visit, and returned the next day for another test. Based on those results, she recommended a heart CT scan. She helped me expedite that test at testing center later that same day. Knowing I was very concerned about whether I had a serious heart issue or simply stress-induced symptoms, she called me to come in immediately when she got the results the next morning. Thankfully, I got an extremely good report, and she wanted me to know ASAP so I could quit worrying about it. Any doctor can do the tests and diagnosis, but in my experience, I've never had a doctor… "rush" to give me good news that would put my mind at ease! She was thorough, moved aggressively, and helped me get my situation assessed completely and quickly. I highly recommend Dr. Dhir. BTW, I chose Dr. Dhir based on the very high recommendation of a friend with real heart issues. She was very pleased and suggested I see Dr. Dhir. I'm so glad my friend let me know about Dr. Dhir. She is a true blessing. Thank you, Dr. Dhir!!

If you ever need a doctor of her specialty you must make an appointment with her. She is THE BEST.

Dr. Dhir is thorough and kind-hearted. Most other doctors are only concerned with a specific set of symptoms according to their specialty. Dr. Dhir looks at the entire picture. I never feel rushed during an appointment. Any long wait in the waiting room is because she spends as much time as necessary with each patient. You can tell that she genuinely cares about her patients. She never doubts me when I tell her what I'm experiencing, even when other doctors have completely brushed me off or told me that my symptoms were psychological. She is one reason that I have not lost hope in searching for a diagnosis that has eluded over a dozen other doctors. I wish all doctors were like her.

I owe my life to Dr. Dhir and her husband. When I moved back to San Antonio in 2010 after almost dying from a bleeding ulcer, the Cardiologist from Albuquerque blew me to the wind. She found that my widow maker and one other artery was blocked. Her husband Dr. Aurora did the stents on me. I go back regularly. and have been doing very well since the procedure. The test aren't to make the money as Obama care is taking care of that. They sincerely care about you. I feel it's worth the wait if that's what I've got to do to stay healthy. Dr Dhir is my "dear". Would recommend her and him to anyone. So there's files everywhere so what?

I am a complicated patient with SLE Lupus. Dr. Dhir does an excellent job of treating me as a whole patient and works with each of my specialty doctors to coordinate my care. She works hard to give me options, treatments, and support. She is the only doctor on my whole team that calls me to check on my home recovery process during bouts of pericarditis. I owe my life to her compassionate care and speed of identifying the fixing my cardiac issues.

Dr. Dhir is the most caring knowledgeable DR I have seen. She is EXCELLENT.

Dr Dhir is wonderful, but the comments about long wait are accurate. They also double or maybe triple book time slots. Our appt was for 10 am. The lady before was also 10 am. We waited an hour in the waiting room then in the hall for tests and finallly in a room to wait for the dr. Overall it took 3 hours. The same last time. Dr Dhir is very caring, but the staff although nice, seems stressed. Stacks of files everywhere. Also it seems Dr Dhir and her husband are involved with the minutea of running the office along with attending to patients. Although we really like her, we will switch if we can find a comparable dr in a less crowded office.

Doctor Dhir is a sweet doctor and very cautious not to miss something. I admit the wait time is about 8 hours for a full workup, but they let me go pick up my children and return between test. Super sweet staff.
