I am acutely aware of the fears and concerns patients have when they find out they have kidney disease or are dealing with renal failure. I have a laser focus on deploying evidence-based measures to prevent and slow the progression from chronic kidney disease to end stage kidney failure, as well as to optimize cardiovascular health and other outcomes in all my patients. I'm a strong proponent of communication with patients, primary care physicians and other specialists. I believe in assiduously addressing CKD 5 options and advanced care planning for patients approaching or with renal failure to help ensure they are well-informed when making decisions about their care.
