Dr. Meera Ramachandran, MD

I was assigned this doctor at the Portland VA health care system. Right off the bat she was condescending to me and acted like I was nothing even though we are the same age. She asked where I worked and then proceeded to guess I must be a "secretary" when in fact I have an advanced degree and am a high level employee. She refused to listen to any of my complaints brushing them off as nothing. I asked for a new doctor and was assigned to someone else. That new doctor immediately took care of my on-going issues after the first visit. This person does not like patients, does not want to help patients, or even listen to them. Horrible!

My father was Dr. Ramachandran's patient for about 6 years. He always complained about uncontrollable shaking on his left side, which he though was Parkinsons and Dr. Ramachandran always just said he is old and it's tremors. Dad fell and broke some ribs a few weeks ago and while at the Portland VA hospital a neurologist saw him for about 5 minutes and instantly diagnosed him with Parkinsons. Dr. Ramachandran was much too quick to dismiss dad's concerns and I feel like she doesn't care about her patients at all. Do not choose this Doc as your primary care!!!
