Dr. Meeryo Christaahn Choe, MD

We have been with Dr. Choe for several years. She is extremely detail oriented and really gives my daughters the individual attention they deserve. She is patient and really listens to them and looks for their feelings, not just mine. So many docs just overlook thr child in the room. Thank you, Dr. Choe. For those who have issues with follow up, the UCLA system has several communication related flaws. The Drs. and staff are not always at fault.

If I could give her a negative ten stars I would. She appears to not want to be bothered to know what is going on with her patients and was ridiculously hard to get a hold of. You almost have to drive there or send her an upset email to get her to get around to calling you even if your child has a emergency. She seems very irresponsible in even follow up care. I felt like I would have been better off taking my son to a veterinarian than to her.

Dr. Choe prescribed medication for my child. She said to contact her if he had an adverse reaction, which he did. She was IMPOSSIBLE to get hold of and did not respond to me. I did not know if I should take my child off the meds immediately or taper down. I had to do an emergency page for another doctor at UCLA. I would not use this doctor again. She provides zero support or follow up once your child once you leave her office and that is dangerous.

Dr Choe saw my daughter after two concussions. Her approach was great in office and ensuring diagnosis was accurate. But, we left her with an MRI from an outside lab to review and upload to the UCLA records system for follow up visits with other specialists. We never heard back about the results of her review and when we came for a follow up, the disc and scan had gone missing. It had been very difficult to track down. She gets high marks, but be sure to keep in contact on follow up issues.
