Dr. Meeta Vijayvargiya, MD

I have been going to Dr. Vijay for many years. If you have something wrong with you, Dr. Vijay will find it! I referred my friend to her and she found lung cancer on her on the first visit and put her in ICU on the same day. My friends and neighbors are patient of hers now.. She cares and she’s the best!!

Honestly wish I could give 0 stars. This woman doesn't deserve to be called a physician due to her harsh personality and lack of genuine support for her patients. One thing that bothers me most is the excessive amount of tests we must go under just to have 1 prescription refilled. My mother too had this experience. Now she refuses to go there until her pharmacy refills are done. I personally dropped Meeta for my own knowledge (25 years studying medicine at the college/professional level since I was 5). I could not be happier.

From my first visit with Dr. Vijay, she has been short with me, interrupts me when I am answering her questions, and just downright rude. She asked me how my *insert unpleasant bowel issue* has been, when I told her at the first appointment, and every single appointment since then (4 total, now), that I do not experience that issue. She does not take any notes or listen to what I tell her, and I spend most of my appointments repeating what I said at previous visits. I would not recommend Dr. Vijay to anyone who wants a physician that will listen to their concerns or put a little bit of care and effort into their treatment.

I wonder if she dislikes most people, or just females, or just overweight people. // First visit is supposed to be a ---getting to know you, meet and greet type of visit. // Dr. Vijay snapped at me within the first 45 seconds of the visit. She asked a question, I would begin to answer, she would verbally snap at me (raising her voice as if a mother to a child) fifteen seconds in and interrupt me. This happened again and again with the five questions she asked me. I am still angry at myself that I didn't get up and walk out right then. And her pay from insurance was $500 for that visit. I think pt's are generally worried what physicians will place in our files (if WE anger THEM)...you know the "secret" file notes they can only see and share with each other. They could write anything and you are left with that stigma for life with every other md you meet. // Another reviewer spoke about gloves. All the dr did was touch my upper arm and she grabbed gloves first to do it, made me feel like… a leper. She is in the wrong profession.

Was not engaging. Didn't wash hands prior to my exam. Said my hemoglobin and cholesterol were high but didn't elaborate at all. She didn't ask any questions or suggest what I should do differently to help just come back in 6 months to retest. I did eventually ask her questions about it when there were sounds of crickets in the room. Not very confident with her.

She is the poorest excuse for a doctor - worst I've ever had. I am a 9 year post RNY patient and she copped an attitude with me the first time I stepped foot in her office. She is obviously not familiar with bariatrics. I have never had a doctor that I could not get along with nor who acted like this doctor acts. It's her way or the highway, she does not listen. I tried to tell her WHY my iron is low and she wants to get me all upset by demanding testing to find out why I'm bleeding internally (I'm not, nor have I ever.). My bariatric surgeon just shook his head in awe when I told him about her. My new primary care doctor is totally blown away of my knowledge of my own body. I brought him my most recent labs, he was totally impressed. Thank goodness Meeta Vijay isn't a provider with my new insurance. She's useless, truly, and a smart@ss as well.

I seen Vijay twice now. Both times she cut me off. Refused to care about what I have to say. Gives no advice, doesn't seem to care one bit. She is beyond rude and I don't know why I went back to her the second time. I'm shocked she has any good ratings. She must be selective on who she is nice too. She wanted to increase my blood pressure med and when I asked a question she only asked if I didn't want it increased!? Worst doctor ever!!!

Never takes my blood pressure . Afraid to touch you, always has on gloves. Never had a doctor to do that. I understand about germs but she goes overboard.
