Dr. Megan Marie Cavanaugh, MD

I truly appreciated Dr. Cavanaugh's sense of humor. Aside from her humor, she is very candid and upfront. I seriously think the world of this lady. All I know is that she did her job and continues to serve me well. It was during my 'preventative' colonoscopy at the age of 51 that a cancerous tumor was found. She performed my resection which we remain proud of. After six months of chemotherapy and many ‘surveillance’ visits to Dr. Cavanaugh and my Oncologist-- I am alive today, four years later. I will be forever thankful that this Doctor continues to be on my side. I have nothing but respect for her and her staff.

I had her last Friday for a colonoscopy and was greatly disappointed. She announced upon meeting her for the first time that she had a dinner date at 6:00 as was going to "get things moving." No discussion before procedure or after. Have not heard from her since and was told that she likes to have lots of patients in one day. Was told there were 13 that day in her clinic at Tanasbourne. Would never use her again.

Smart, accurate, personable. Easy to talk with, and answered all of my questions in a direct no-nonsense style that put me at ease.
