Dr. Megan Louise Krause, MD

Dr Krause is an incredible doctor. I have a complex situation. She has definitely gone above beyond. dr Krause has been patient, kind and understanding with my plethora of annoying questions/concerns. She hasn’t given up on me like so many have and has continued for months, thinking outside of the box to help me solve this medical puzzle. The staff is prompt and courteous. Testing is set up efficiently and the diagnostic centers have been wonderful also. I had a pretty long wait to see Dr Krause but she is worth it.

I had previously seen a rheumatologist at KC Physician Partners. She did 1 set of lab work and 12 x-rays, didn't take the time to really ask many questions or anything and had her nurse tell me over the phone that I had "fibromyalgia". They were rude and wouldn't take or return calls. I ended up getting an apt with Dr. Krause for a second opinion. She is so educated and knowledgeable. She went over every possible thing that my symptoms pointed to but then ruled them out one by one and explained why it wasn't that. She listened to details and used those with my diagnosis. Starting and talking about treatment with her was just as informative. She is hands down the BEST doctor I've ever dealt with. I would highly recommend her. She's not out to spend all of your money on unnecessary labs and imaging either.

I have been treated by multiple physicians and care providers throughout my life in many different specialties, I have really liked several of them. Dr. Krause is the absolute best, she is an amazing physician, she is knowledgeable, she is kind, compassionate and makes me feel like I have an ally, someone who watches my back and helps me navigate the uncertain times. She makes me feel safe and understood. I'm grateful to have found her.

Do to moves and insurances I have seen multiple Doctors for my Lupus and other medical reasons. Only 4 have I found to be worth writing a review and recommending. Dr Krause is one. Dr. Krause is highly educated, listens, and works with you to find the best plan for you. She doesn't just throw medication at every complaint (but will prescribe it if needed) she listens to you. Then works on a course of action to best fit your lifestyle, strengths, weaknesses, and health risks, to help reduce episodes and shorten where possible. She is also always learning and stays update to date on research. I am also a breast cancer survivor (4yr) and chemo put me into menopause. My new Gynocologist said there was nothing I could do for hot flashes and such do to the cancer and hormones. Which added to my already painful sleepless nights. Dr Krause had read a study about a medication used for another disease that had no side effects and no hormones, in fact I took it during treatment for a different… side effect of the chemo, she said the study found it helped menopause patients like myself who could not take hormone based medication. She gave me a month to try it and she was right. So, I highly recommend Dr Megan Krause as she has tremendously helped me with my lupus. She is definitely one smart doctor. She is a caring one of a kind doctor which are sometimes very hard to find.

She is my favorite Doctor of all times. She is kind, knowledgable, practical, and listens carefully to all symptoms to manage them. I am confidant with her abilities and her plan of care. You have to trust and love your doctor and she does that for me. I am extremely lucky to have found her at KU.
