Dr. Megan Lynch, DO

I had a positive blood test for an auto immune disorder and some symptoms of RA. Another test indicated I didn't have RA, but maybe Lupus. My primary care physician referred me to a Rheumatologist and I saw Dr. Lynch. She was personable, but basically read off a list of symptoms questions for 5 minutes and then told me I don't have Lupus. I told her I also had tightness in my right knee and that it "felt swollen". She looked at it, said it didn't look swollen, ruled out a Bakers cyst, and sent me on my way. She had me take a thyroid related blood test that might explain my positive ANA test. The results came out quickly, but I didn't understand them. She didn't contact me about the results, so after a couple of weeks I reached out to her to find out what they meant. She said I tested negative and that the positive ANA test that brought me to her in the first place was probably nothing for me to worry about. In the meantime, my knee tightness has gotten much worse. The 5-10… minute specialist visit with Dr. Lynch was very expensive (as well as the original primary care visit), so I don't know what to do. I think that if Dr. Lynch hadn't blown me off, I might have some answers about what's going on, but instead I'm left fretting.

I had major joint pain and elevated uric acid levels. She told me to make dietary changes and come back to remeasure my levels at at follow up appointment. I made the dietary changes, but without stating a reason why, she REFUSED to measure my uric acid levels for the follow up. I ended up having to make an appt with a diff Dr, who measured the levels and it turned out they were even higher. If i had stayed with "Dr" Lynch, my uric acid lvls would have kept climbing, leading to more pain and damage without me knowing. Her 'solution' was to try to get me on heavy immunosuppressant medication, without her even making a proper diagnosis. With her negligence and dishonestly, she could have irreversibly ruined my immune system for the rest of her life. If you value your health, STAY AWAY from her.

She is personable and conscientious

She saved my daughter's life after my daughter was misdiagnosed at another provider. I could stop there. she's thorough, kind, and when she needs "more,or better," answers on something she hasn't treated already in depth, she goes to colleagues for help, advice, and information. I can't think of someone that would be a better doctor to my child who has pretty serious issues.

Very caring and extremely thorough.

Dr Lynch is fairly arrogant and condescending. She insisted she had all the information regarding my condition when in reality, she couldn’t even scratch the surface. She doesn’t know what she doesn’t know yet, so I didn’t feel comfortable trusting her with my health and well-being.
