Dr. Megan E Sikkema, DO

The first time I met Dr. Sikkema my son was just under a year old. I called to make a sick child appointment the provider we were seeing wasn't available. My son has asthma, and it should have been diagnosed at 3 months, but ER docs didnt want to officially diagnose him. Any way he was on breathing treatments twice a day with a maintenance medication as well as a rescue medication. When we got to the office, the nurse knew Tates breathihg was bad. She got Dr. Sikkema right away. I was scared to death, his pulse ox was low and it turned bad quickly. She called a baby bus to be on stand by if he needed to be transferred to the hoapital. Not only did she give my son the best care possible, she also helped keep me calm. She is now our go to Dr. She never rushes an appointment, she responds to all my my chart messages and communicates my childrens needs to a different provider before our appointment if she is unavailable. Woman is simply amazing.
