Meghan Carina Knol, MD

Originally from the Midwest, I completed medical school at the University of Michigan and my residency training in General Surgery at Trinity Health Ann Arbor. I moved to New York in 2023 for a fellowship in Advanced Wound and Burn Care at Northwell. This specialized training ignited a passion for the intricate challenges of surgical wound care, particularly in the area of limb salvage. I believe in a comprehensive approach to wound care, understanding that successful outcomes require not only surgical expertise but also a deep understanding of the patient's overall health and well-being. Patients often benefit from multidisciplinary care, including working closely with vascular surgery, endocrinology, primary care, physical therapy, and occupational therapy to ensure patients receive coordinated and comprehensive care. Furthermore, I believe that kindness and empathy are essential components of effective patient care.
