Dr. Meghan E Mcginnis

McGinnis has no bedside manner, and made me feel very uncomfortable when going for my yearly obgyn appointment. She argued with me about how she would fill my prescription- she said she would only give me 3 pills at a time and I would have to keep filling it every time I needed it. This is inconvenient and unnecessary, I have been given a months worth of this prescription every time filled, for the last 3 years. She started giving me the prescription amount that I requested but now is only giving me 3 pills at a time. My insurance refuses to pay for it. She doesn’t even work for the OBGYN office anymore which I saw her at this year, and I can’t get ahold of her to change this. Very unprofessional and rude woman.

If I could give my experience less than 1 star, I would. This was my first prenatal appointment and I, like many other women, had a lot of questions and anxiety surrounding my pregnancy. Dr. McGinnis spent less than 30 minutes total with my Fiance' and I - During the appointment I was called obese (I'm not) and was told that I could only gain 5 pounds during this pregnancy. Keep in mind I was only 6 weeks in... i asked for a blood test for thyroid antibodies and she ordered a normal thyroid panel even though I made it clear that I have a preexisting condition. I called about a week later to get something for nausea and vomiting and was prescribed a medication that my insurance would not pay for, and when I called back to tell them that I was met with attitude and argument. I am appalled and can't believe that there are doctors that act like this. I will be seeing another doctor for the duration of my pregnancy.

This doctor has no therapeutic communication with her patients, doesn't listen to her patients, doesn't care about the well-being of her patients. She had no answers and made her patient feel degraded. Very conceding human being.
