Dr. Asai had reviewed my reason for the visit prior to seeing me. She asked me to explain the condition in my own words. She asked additional questions and clarified my responses when needed. She explained the procedure that was about to take place and asked in what position I would be most comfortable. Dr. Asai and the person who assisted her assured my privacy and made me very comfortable. As the exam was performed she gave me her assessment. Afterwards, when I was dressed she came and explained her findings in detail and asked about bowel habits and asked if there were further questions. This could have been an uncomfortable experience given the exam involved but Dr. Asai made me feel very comfortable. She is professional, able to put patients at ease and is detailed in her explanations. She also explained that if such a problem occurred in the future to My Chart her or make and appointment. I did not know anything about Dr. Asai, she had the first available appointment and I… am grateful to have been in her care.
