Dr. Mehdi Akhavan-Heidari, MD

I had just left the house for work when I had the worst pain in my chest that I have ever felt. Luckily I live just about five minutes from a hospital, so I had my wife take me there. As I was laying in the E.R. room, I lost the feeling in one of my legs and could no longer move it. I felt like I was dying, and I found out later that I was. The staff called Dr. Akhavan-Heidari, who was at another hospital already scrubbed to do an operation. He postponed that non-emergency operation and rushed to rescue me. I had an Aortic Dissection that went from my chest down to my abdomen. He was able to stabilize me so that a special stent could be made. He installed the stent and literally saved my life. I still lost one of my kidneys and the other one isn't 100%, but I'm still here. I owe this man my life! On one of the follow-up exams, his P.A. mentioned a thickening in the wall of my bladder. I went to see another specialist and found out I had cancer. It was removed by Surgery, and… it was found early enough that they believe they got it all before it could spread. So again, thank you to his staff.

Some may come better, but " ONLY " the Very Best deserve such a High Rating such as Dr. Akhavan. It was his Professional Skill and Knowledge in his current Medical Field that kept my Family from losing me. He repaired a collapsed lung I severed from having undetected pneumonia.
