The people with one star reviews are right on with this guy. When I went in to emergency in an ambulance he sent me home saying I had colitis and to take Imodium. I had C-Diff and nearly died. I wrote letters and made calls but obviously the hospital is okay with bad doctors. If you get this guy, ask for someone else!!.

Helpful and calm! Checked in days later to be sure I was doing okay after some internal bleeding.

I agree with all the other one star reviews. If I could give him zero stars I would. He is totally incompetent. He spent no time talking to us and released us from ER. Christus should fire him!

Horrible Dr, he must be reprimanded for his mal practice.

Rude, arrogant and reckless with the health of his patients. He should not be a doctor as he seems to care so very little about the people he treats. He is a malpractice case just waiting to happen.He treated me in the ER and sent me out with an undiagnosed injury. It takes attention and interest to make a diagnosis and he has neither.

I went into the ER and this doctor didn’t even bother to see me. He just had the nurse do some lab work and then discharged me after about 6 hours. There was no explanation from either him or the nurse.

Doctors take a Hippocratic oath to do no harm. Dr. Best treated my husband poorly when I took him in for COVID. He was sarcastic and rude and didn’t do anything to help him other than repeat “you have COVID” as if he was a moron.

I had had knee surgery and a few days later developed horrible diarrhea and went to the emergency room. A friend who is a nurse was with me and said to have them test me for c-diff. Dr. Best was the doctor who came into my room. He was condescending, arrogant and paid no attention to what I was telling him. I asked him to order the c-diff test and he said he did not believe I had that but colitis. When he returned to the room I again asked about the test. He said he had ordered it and I could call the hospital the next day for the results. He sent me home saying I had colitis and to take Imodium. I called for the results and found the test had never been done. By the time I got back to the emergency room it was found i did have c-diff. I was dehydrated and in horrible pain. I was admitted and finally got the help I needed.

My ER treatment from Dr. Best was extremely poor. He spent 10 minutes on my case for the 8 hrs I was in the ER. I went in with a back injury, from which I was unable to walk nor stand without passing out from pain and nausea. The initial x-rays showed no injury, and I was only diagnosed 6 hrs later after we pressured them for a CT scan. My treatment was prolonged because he did not respect my injury, and thought that I was a dramatic girl. He said to me, "nobody is going to admit you for a sore butt." I incurred 3 fractures in my vertebrae, not what you normally consider a sore butt. Yet this comment showed he could not be bothered to figure out why my pain was so severe. He also made other rude remarks to my family members. Dr. Best ignored my questions and feedback, and spoke over me. This treatment is especially surprising given the little amount of time he spent with us. If we did not pressure him/staff, I never would have been treated properly under his care. Thankfully the… inpatient staff helped me manage my pain after I was admitted. It is one thing to have an attitude but still treat your patients properly; however, Dr. Best's attitude prevented him from providing adequate medical care. If you find yourself in the Christus ER for a non-life threatening reason, make sure you are treated by another doctor.
