Dr. Meher Yepremyan, MD

Dr. Y is infinitely knowledgeable on matters of retinal medicine. While it is true that an appointment at Retinal Specialists is time consuming (due at least in part to the dilation process), I will take superior expertise any day over 'bedside manor'.

Retina Consultants in general is an overbooked practice filled with cold, uncaring, and somewhat incompetant staff. When you arrive. be prepared to wait for almost 3 hours to see the doc for 5 minutes. Dr. Yepremyan is not personable and does not explain anything to the patient about their condition or possible side effects to treatments. Im not doubting his skill level but patient care falls very short. He is also overly busy with too many patients and rushes you out the door. I was a patient for almost two miserable years and regret staying that long. My new doctor thinks that I received some unnecessary treatments, and there was some things that were seriously neglected. Im utterly disappointed with Dr. Y and the staff there, they have treated me with zero empathy and almost cost me my eyesight with their poor care.

The Dr is very knowledgeable and follopws everything up. I recommend him his abilty, care and concern for you at the highest level.

This was probably the worst doctor visit I ever experienced. The doctor seemed to have no interest in my case and was much more interested in his attractive young assistant. I left there not knowing any more about my condition than I knew when I arrived.

He is very rushed. For normal followup he spends about 3 minutes examining you and he is out the door. Don't let this doctor give you injections in the eye. He does not allow a few minutes for the anesthetic to act and his injection are quite painful.

Became a pt while on vacation following an emergency situation; we were referred to him for surgery consult for detached retina. Got in immediately, had surgery (by an associate) same day. Staff was awesome and professional, went the extra mile for us in kindness and compassion. Even called taxi service for us the next day following post-op.
