Dr. Dokucu is extremely kind, knowledgeable, and thorough. He takes the time to answer all questions and truly cares about the well-being of his patients.

I have Tx-resistant depression and saw Dr. Dokucu for transcranial magnetic stimulation. It did not produce significant positive effects. What bothered me was that he was not invested in finding me follow-up care, which can be so important for people with mental illness and (often) diminished ability to care for oneself. If you are so afflicted, I'd suggest you bring in a knowledgeable friend to help you get "full service"

At first I was resistant to see a "cancer psychiatrist", but my own resistance/fear was allayed with Dr. Dokucu. He has a great balance of listening and counseling, and makes me feel really comfortable talking about my issues and challenges. He takes his work very very seriously and is genuinely concerned about his patients. He makes suggestions without judging, and he makes a major effort to understand what's really going to work for you. He makes himself available and accessible, and never makes me feel awkward about anything. I highly recommend him for your most serious challenges

He seems to really listen and hear your story. He validates your problem. Wants to do his best in perscribing medication & helping the patient.Makes you feel better about yourself.
