Dr. Mehmet Gulecyuz, MD

This doctor was following up on my son case when my 6 months old was admitted to the hospital for Kawasaki. After my son was discharged, we tried to contact the doctor’s office to follow up with him. However, the doctor refused to accept my son because my son was seen one time before by another Cardiologist (who turned out to be much knowledgeable) Thank you Dr. Mehmet for refusing my son on your case load. We actually found that Dr. Randolph Guy, who practices in both a private clinic and Ann and Lurie’s a phenomenal pediatric Cardiologist. You can’t be a human to refuse a 6 months old! But again, thank you!

My son was diagnosed with an extremely rare complex congenital heart defect in utero, and we immediately consulted with several top-rated pediatric heart centers in the country. Every institution we visited had not only heard of Dr. Gulecyuz, but had great respect for him. When my son developed an extremely rare complication that resulted in recommendations for a heart transplant by several specialists, Dr. Gulecyuz was one of the only doctors in the country that was able to correctly assess and resolve the issue, which obviated the need for a transplant and literally saved his life. He has vigilantly cared for our son (and our entire family) for over a decade, and has impeccable judgment. I trust him implicitly.

I took my daughter to this doctor to make sure she did not have circulation issues. The RN nurse was great and all tests for her heart were good. She explicitly told us several times she was going to talk with the a doctor and call us the next day. That was Wednesday. Friday I called and left a message and now it is Tuesday night and I have not heard back. How horrible is that. So off to someone else for a second opinion since I now do not trust this office.

We worked with Dr. G throughout my pregnancy and after my son's birth to craft a plan for his care and to give him the best possible chance at a normal life, despite being diagnosed with tricuspid atresia. He was wonderfully caring and took the time to be with us until he knew we understood everything that was happening. Unfortunately, our son passed away at 1 yr old. Still, Dr. G and Julie (his nurse) made the time to attend his visitation and let us know we were still part of their "family." If I had to do it all over again, I would still choose Dr. G. I can't say enough good things about him.

Dr. Gulecyuz is a professional, caring, and courteous cardiologist. Both him and his nurse (Julie) are easy to work with and spend time listening to any concerns. I highly recommend Dr. Gulecyuz.

Dr G. is one of the Doctors that does what he does because he wants to make a difference! The staff there are friendly and caring. Both of my children are apprehensive when we go because it is different than all other appointments and they only go once a year, but the staff and Dr. G immediately put them at ease. My daughter was diagnosed with a subaortic membrane and Dr G spent a lot of time with us explaining what it was and all the things it could mean. He is very patient, kinda and knowledgable. I would recommend him and his staff to anyone!

Dr. G. was amazing. he was very caring and took the time to draw out diagram of the baby's heart so we would truley understand what was happening with the boys. Truley a wonderful Man and DR....

I WENT THRU DR. GULECYUZS OFFICE WITH MY 2 SONS AND I WAS VERY HAPPY HIM AND HIS STAFF...THEY ARE WONDERFUL!!
