Dr. Mehmood Mehdi, MD

My brother-in-law saw Dr. Mehdi, and Dr. Mehdi misdiagnosed him with a serious mental illness that put his position at his job in jeopardy. When he asked to speak with Dr. Mehdi regarding his diagnosis, Dr. Mehdi refused to see him or even talk to him. The entire time he was being treated, no mention of this diagnosis ever came up either. He later went to a more reputable psychologist. The psychologist there told him based on the testing done and history, he did not fit the criteria of this serious mental illness. Therefore, he does not have this serious mental illness. Dr. Mehdi put my brother-in-law's health and his financial wellbeing in jeopardy. Not only did he misdiagnose my brother-in-law with no testing done whatsoever, if he had the disorder in the first place, it would be irresponsible to not treat, let alone not even speak to the patient. He is not the psychiatrist you want to see. He misdiagnoses his patients with no testing what so ever, and he does not value the wellbeing… of his patients.

Dr. Mehdi is not the psychiatrist you want to see. He misdiagnoses, and he does not value… wellbeing of his patients.

Dr. Mehdi is an excellent doctor. He truly cares for his patients. I have seen some patients post adverse remarks. I found him just the opposite at each of the visits.

Only one star because I couldn't rate any lower!! I changed doctors only because I moved from my previous area and thought this guy had impressive credentials. However.....this is the worst doctor I have ever seen and I've seen several psychiatrists over the years. He is very rude, he's arrogant and he refused to let me weigh in on my own care. He actually texted while I was in the office! I live in this body every day and I know what works for me. He prescribed Klonopin to me which is very strong. The prescription was for 2 tablets twice daily and when I ran out mid month, he refused to refill the prescription. His office manager actually called me back - he couldn't be bothered to call me himself. She said he "MEANT" for me to only take one tablet twice a day so there's no way I shoud have run out. They completely disregarded the fact that I was taking what was prescribed on the label. Therefore, I was told I would have to wait til my next appointment which was 5 weeks away. I will… always discourage anyone to try with this guy. I've never seen such disregard for patient welfare or unprofessional practicing in my life. Please don't waste your money or give this man power over your well being

I took my 13 year old to see him big mistake. He was the rudest dr ive ever met in my life. Did not care about my concerns about the medicine he wanted to put my son on prescribed after i told him i didnt want it n told me he was the dr not me. All this after i sat in waiting room for 3 hours to see him. Needless to say we have not been back!
