Dr. Mehmud Ahmed

Spent literally 5 minutes for a consultation. Worse, didn’t even glance in my direction. Judgmental, unprofessional, cruel. True sign of not listening at all: Wanting to treat me for a diagnosis/problem I wasn’t even there to see him about. Other patients shortly followed after I’d left, crying. They shared how uncompassionate he was, how angry they were. I wasn’t alone. Don’t be one of his patients. AKA: victims.

A great and experienced doctor who instantly makes you feel comfortable.

I have seen a few doctors over the years and Dr. Ahmed is the first one that I have recommended to other people. If you are looking for someone to coddle your emotions, he is not your man. Still, he is friendly, focused, and has a genuine interest in getting you back to a comfortable, personally satisfying state of mind. He has a very objective view on things without passing judgment.Anytime, I have come to him with a suggestion of what it is I would like to try as treatment, he would let me try my suggested treatment whether it be exactly how I wanted to treat myself or offering a more informed alternative that will accomplish what I am looking for. He is a 2-way street and is open to suggestions based on thoughtful feedback of what he has already prescribed.Scheduling appointments with Dr. Ahmed may be about 2-4 weeks out. However, on one occasion I had alerted his office that I needed to seem him as soon as possible and he had personally called me back to schedule an… appointment for the very next day. He gives out his email address to patients who would like to send him information in between visits. If in between visits you need him to prescribe you more medication, you can call and speak to him personally. He sends prescriptions electronically to your local pharmacy which is extremely convenient in emergency situations.In over a year, have never had to wait more than 3 minutes past my scheduled appointment time before he would call me in. His staff is very courteous and are, for lack of a better term, human. My first 3 visits, I was accidentally over charged for my co-pay by about 20 dollars per visit. On my 4th visit, they caught the discrepancy, admitted to the oversight and took care of me for the next several visits. Another time, I forgot my wallet and asked if they could just apply it to the next visit, which they didn't even bat an eye at. Missing an appointment will cost you $50. I am extremely forgetful and have missed several appointments by sheer memory loss. After having missed several appointments during 1 year's time frame, not for one second did they doubt my integrity when I disputed my last $50 dollar missed appointment charge for an issue that may or may not have been my fault, and proceeded to remove the $50 dollar charge from my billing account.I have really given this some thought and would like to make this as balanced of a review as possible but I think mentioning that he is not really into pampering his patients is about as negative as I can go.
