An unnecessary procedure - thankfully didn't go through with An unreasonable cancellation window. Is seven days a normal window? A large cancellation fee of four hundred dollars Be wary of the cancellation window, and make sure the procedure is actually necessary. Didn't listen, just a loss of money, and added stress.

I don't like to trash people/businesses through negative reviews, but Dr. Hosseini was so harmful to me that I feel like if I can save someone's life by writing this, it's important to do so. Dr. Hosseini is a dangerous blend of arrogance and incompetence. I came to Dr. Hosseini with unexplained pain and bloating in my abdomen for years, but all he ever did was what he always does: order tests and then offer Dicyclomine, Pentasa, and Humira as drug treatment options -- always without listening or taking an interest in my situation. When I showed him the places in my abdomen that were tight, swollen, abnormal, he felt and said, "I just feel your organs." I couldn't believe it, considering that I, far from a doctor, could feel these abnormalities clear as day. Even after I told him that Dicyclomine and Pentasa had done nothing, when I explained that only one regimen had helped me -- a formula called "Emptiness" that helped create movement in my GI tract where nothing else had -- he… sneered at the product and didn't want to know anything about what it was. No matter that it had helped me greatly where his drugs had failed me. Well it turns out that what I was feeling was the result of a very slow growing lymphoma that, by the time it was diagnosed, was comprised of dozens of tiny masses on both sides that were causing my lymph nodes to swell. That's, of course, what I was feeling (not my organs). Fortunately, my prognosis is very good but thanks to all the time wasted with Dr. Hosseini (until I finally got a CT scan through my PCP because I KNEW something was seriously wrong) I was not able to catch the lymphoma before it spread to my bone marrow. Note that I rejected the offer to try Humira because while I didn't know what my problem was, I knew that Humira came with a truckload of serious side effects. It turns out one of the side effects is that it can cause lymphoma. Please do yourself a kindness and stay as far away from Dr. Hosseini, and Gastroenterology Associates, as you can. You will be healthier for it.

More of a review of the absolute mess of a clinic he works at. No follow up, maze-like website in order to find a valid phone number to call, and long wait times once you do reach him. I waited 45 minutes in one instance.

I'm taking some time during the 20 minute wait to get anyone on the phone from Northern Cal GI. No way to contact the doctor electronically, long waits for phone, doesn't follow up. I called 2 weeks after my colonoscopy, to find that I was going to have to wait ANOTHER 2 weeks to get in and hear the results of my test. As I'm writing, I'm 15 minutes into being on hold and only my place in the phone queue has only gone from 7 to 6.

We made an appointment. During the process of filling out forms, we discovered the most absurd language allowing this practice to reveal all your medical records to whomever asked with an "official" purspose. We called to find how we could prevent this, by perhaps signing a form preventing this disclosure. The coordinator for this was rude, and unyeilding, she said we don't just give it away, it requires a court order of supenea. When asked why this wasn't in the document. She said I do not want to argue with you. We were not arguing, we were trying find out the above. She refused to offer any solution, and she then suggested we simply go somewhere else and offered to cancel our appointment. She did and we are, never to return. We read all disclosure statements we get, and HIPPA is to protect your privacy, This disclosure statement is absurd and has a pupose to give them total rights to disclose your information for "their" convenience. If you care at all about your privacy,… go somewhere else. I guess thier motto is "up yours."

Dr. Hosseini is a GREAT doctor. I have never seen another Gastroenterologist, and am grateful my Family Doctor referred me to him. He is the first male Physician I have ever had, so I was apprehensive at first, but I was quickly set as ease. The Gastroenterologist is not anyones favorite to see as it is, and Dr. Hosseini quickly put me at ease. He is extremely smart, easy to talk to do, really listens to your history, and makes every effort to thoroughly and quickly find a diagnosis and treatment/cure to the problem. I have not one complaint about Dr. Hosseini as a doctor, I would recommend him to anyone I know.Dr. Hosseini has appointments available in the late afternoon, so I never have to miss work, so its very convenient. His front desk receptionist (Nicki? Nicole?) is a dream. Even when she is swamped, she's smiling and sweet, and at 5pm, she greets me like Im the first person she has seen of the day.He also has a Medical Assistant (Lisa) that has diligently helped me get my… needed prescriptions that require special and hard to get authorizations from my terrible insurance company, and always helps me when Im having problems.The ONLY complaint that I have about Dr. Hosseini is his TERRIBLE Office Administrator. She is Insensitive and Rude, and Dr. Hosseini would be better off with a more caring individual.
