Dr. Mehrdad Vosoghi, MD

I was assigned to Dr Vosoghi as a GI once I had an Ultrasound of abdomen showing hepatic duct was enlarged at 12 mm and I had stones in my gallbladder. I needed 2 Endoscopies and a colonoscopy. I could NEVER get a hold of anyone at his office and when I did they were so rude and said there was no approvals when I had them in my hand. They hung up on me. I called my Dr at Cancer center since he knows Dr Vosoghi and suddenly I got 3 calls from them in 15 mins. The procedures were scheduled I also had an MRCP right before the procedures. At the hospital I was exhausted from the preparation for procedures and had to arrive at 6 am I was kept in a basement room with other patients but they were ALL taken to surgery but the Dr never called me after 5 hours I wandered around the basement looking for help and a nurse found me and I finally had my surgery. He skipped one of the most important procedures now I have to wait again. I can’t get a hold of him they said it was very important I call… the office within 48 hours after surgery. It’s been a week and half and nothing. I was never given any instructions or prescriptions for after. The worst GI ever. I am calling the IPA to find a new one and this is going to end up causing a delay which could be serious for my health. Don’t go to this GI if you want actual help.

My insurance listed Dr.Vosoghi as a provider after having a horrendous time getting somebody on the phone to schedule an initial appointment I finally met with the doctor. You told me that I needed colonoscopy and endoscopy done gave me the prescriptions for the cleansing the directions for the week of the night prior and post testing instructions. Waited over two months still never heard from the office that was going to call me as soon as the authorization came in they never even applied for it. I suffered more problems ended up in the emergency room he spoke to me on the phone apologized I finally received Insurance authorization and after an ER visit a schedule date I called thank God the night before they said I wasn't on the schedule I had no schedule at all but they'd be willing to do it for me...... After having to stop medications for the test inadequate service rude terrible staff and a scheduler that apparently doesn't know how to work a computer to put it in they have the… audacity to ask me for an appointment please do yourself a favor find another GI doctor God bless you and have a great day

Dr. Vosoghi did my colonoscopy in the Hospital, but then after that, he gave me NO communication regarding the findings with the procedure, nor the pathology report regarding the procedure. The Hospital floor nurse gave me the colonoscopy report, and she was completely WRONG in what she reported. I ended up taking the initiative, to send for my Hospital records, to find out the information, that SHOULD have been given to me by Dr. Vosoghi. Unreal. Dr. Vosoghi needs to be professional, and communicate with his patients after their procedures. He left me in the dark!

what a wonderful Dr he is! so Loving such beautiful bedside manor and came to my rescue cleared up a problem oone else could see so I am forever grateful!

My father was in the hospital for an intestinal problem which required a colonscopy. Prior to the colonoscopy, we never met the doctor. After the surgery we did not see the doctor. Who is he? After my father was discharged from the hospital, I called the doctors office for a follow up appointment to inquire regarding the results of the colonoscopy. Never returned my call nor did he inform my fathers primary care doctor of any results. My father is 88 years old and has multiple medical problems. Very poor doctor care. If I could put Zero on the rating I would. Giving this doctor one star is a stretch.

The office called me the day before my first appointment to reschedule the time to one hour earlier. I agreed, but they kept me waiting that whole hour anyway. Called once regarding illness but Dr. Vosoghi never returned the call. Called again to schedule a colonoscopy that was approved by my insurance, but again, no one ever called me back to schedule.

I went to him with classic symptoms of kidney stones. He ordered a CT scan. When he received the results of the scan from the radiology group which said there were no kidney stones, he had one of his staff call and tell me that I did not have stones and that I should contact my primary doctor for further advice. He took the written interpretation of the scan from the radiologist at face value without ever looking at the scan himself. My primary doctor had me pick up a CD of the scan from the radiology group and take it to a urologist he recommended. When the urologist looked at the actual scan, he confirmed that I did in fact have kidney stones. Dr. Vosoghi never looked at the scan himself. For this reason, I would never return to this doctor again or recommend him to others.
