Dr. Mehul Bharatkumar Shah, MD

Dr Shah is my PCP and I honestly haven’t had a more thorough and pleasant Doctor. I recommend him highly!

Initial office visit the staff has poor standards of expectation and allowed to treat co-workers with abusive mannerism in front of patient.

This man was the worst doctor I have ever met, he required me to be tested for illegal drugs before treating me and could care less about the medical concerns, he refused me to get medical specialists for diabetes and stomach issues, he QUESTIONED my meds I was taking suggested cheaters ones and told me one drug was not NECESSARY because I was HIV NEGATIVE AND DID NOT NEED TRUVADA A MEDICINE TO PROTECT AGAINST GETTING HIV, HE CAME ACROSS AS A BIGOT AND BULLY AFTER 2 VISITS I REQUESTED A NEW DOCTOR, AND THE DRUG TESTS CAME BACK NEGATIVE FOR ALL HE TESTED COCAINE,MARIJUANA, PCP,BARBITUTES, HE TESRED FOR ALL ILLEGAL DRUGS AND I HAD NONE IN. MY SYSTEM, PERHAPS HE NEEDS TO BE TESTED FOR DRUGS

Worst doctor I've ever encountered in my long life in terms of his autocratic and dismissive manner. Here's sample dialogue from him, "I ask the questions here." That's a point of view that rejects the advice I've seen universally offered by medical professionals who write books and magazine and newspaper articles for the lay reader on how to manage their health care. I was happy to escape from him -- happy on a scale with flunking the draft induction physical during the Korean "police action" and happy on the scale of becoming a father for the first time, to a son, and again a year later to my only daughter, and happy on receiving my college degree -- after a three-year hiatus -- in the solemn setting of the University of Chicago's Rockefeller Chapel. That's how happy I was to get away from this man. There are some people who get into medicine because they want to help people. Others because they want to BE important people. My impression is that Mehul Shah is one of the… latter. I have a step-brother, now deceased, who was a surgeon, and he's in the first category, as is one of my high school friends who became a primary care physician. He was hitching a ride with me on my motor scooter, when we spotted a bird fluttering on its back on the ground we were passing by. He insisted we stop and he went over to it and I stayed with the scooter. There was nothing he could do for the bird, as it turned out, but dispose of it.

Absolutly the wost! Horrible demeaning attitude! including staff!

He is arrogant, not thorough, and thinks he knows all specialty's. I was treated very dis respectfully.

Worst mistake I ever made. Was changing primary care doctor as I left the building. Never heard I was an EXPERT so many times from the guy working there

The majority of the staff at this office are untrained and unprofessional. There is a constant swinging door of doctors and nurses that come and go from each office. The office on SPB and the downtown office are both unsanitary. I would not suggest this doctor and or offices for service. Unfortunelty, I have until Decmeber until I am able to change my plan and doctor. Until then - pray I live!

He is disrespectful to his staff and he is cocky and arrogant. Wait time is always over an hour. Not through.
