Dr. Meihui Ma, MD

Please avoid this physician at all costs. I have had amazing providers at MyMichigan, but Dr. Ma is by far the worst provider I have seen. First of all, he completed an extremely limited nerve conduction study that only addressed the lower leg (ankle) when my complaint was to the upper portion of one of my legs. He told me I was fine, I’m young, and I can still go to work and run with my kids - it was all in my head. Meanwhile, I was a stay at home parent (so I didn’t go to work) and couldn’t keep up with my kids due to muscle weakness. I explained how I’m not actually fine - how I used to run miles yet can barely walk a block after months of PT. While I told him this and began to tear up, he began leaving the room. He then responded ‘okay’ and left the room. No acknowledgment. No eye contact. Just complete disregard for my well-being and care. I later heard from others who have had experiences with him and it’s all similar. He will medically gaslight you and do the bare minimum if… anything at all. How he continues to be employed is beyond me.

I’ve never been so disgusted with the medical field as a whole until I had Dr. Ma for a neurologist. He’s rude, put me down, took forever to diagnose me with MS (year and a half) and laughed at me about my pain and told me to take ibuprofen or Tylenol. And now after 2 months of having a diagnosis, he won’t return any of my calls about WHY I am unable to get my medication. The pharmacy turned me away and now Mid Michigan orchard building is being negligent by not returning any of my calls about medication I need when they said they would.

The brain is very difficult he tries

I have spinal stenosis n a plate in neck.. I was referred to him.. Whole time I was there he stared at computer not me.. He acted like he did not understand why Dr sent me n he rushed in n out.. All about money not patient

I would never reccomend this doctor to anyone ever. He had the worst bed side manner i have ever seen and i have seen many doctors and specialist. He argues about diagnosis and medications and puts patients down. Made my patient cry and told her to get over it.

everytime I go to see him he rush's in and rush's out He seem's to care very little about what i try to tell him where as other doctor's encourage me to speak he seem's to have no time and act's as if he can read my mind know's what I was going to say and has it all figured out . Frankly I dont like him .
