Dr. Melanie Garcia Akalal, MD

I love my Dr. and I miss Dr.Akalal. She may have moved all the way cross country from WV, but she will always be my Dr.in my most personal part of my mind. Nobody else I had ever seen made me feel OK with myself like she can. I aint felt that since she left. I haven't seen another psychiatrist since neither and I wont. I opened up to Melanie like I have never before or after seeing her. Every diagnosis, treatment and medications were thoroughly talked about as I needed. It wasn't about her listening and prescribing, she actually cares. She always returned my phone calls, and especially the times I was in disress,she made time, even if she only had a minute to talk. The quick return call was the most reassurance. Somebody cares and it would be my psychiatrist, thank God. I just cant say enough about Dr.Akalal. I hope she is appreciated and treated well out there in the tater state. Dr. Akalal always has a home and job here in WV if she ever wants.We all miss her largely.
