Dr. Melanie Gail Allen

Made appointment for toothache. Gave necessary insurance info. Days later went in to see the dentist. A quick xray and exam of tooth. Nothing to alleviate the pain or treat the infection. Went to the front desk where I was told that they could not verify my insurance (after having given them the information). They demanded $47 with no attempt to allow me to provide them with an insurance card) I have a $5. co-pay. Very unprofessional and rude.

ProCare Dentistry-Dr.Melanie Allen I went to Dr. Allen for a routine checkup and cleaning, they took x-rays and I was told by the Dr and their Hygienist that I had gum disease and that if it was not taken care of my teeth would fall out. When I called my husband in to speak with them the RECEPTIONIST showed my husband the x-rays and tried to convince him of their findings. I was then told I needed extensive dental work and they gave me an estimate for over $15000 plus the surgeons fees to correct my teeth and infection. I told them I would have to think about it and just do the cleaning, they said they couldn't do the top but would do the bottom teeth. The hygienist barely scraped the bottom teeth and I was given a bill for $149.00. I went for a second opinion to another dentist who has been in practice for over 29 years and he took his own x-rays and could not find any evidence of infection he also did a complete exam and his Hygenist did a complete and thorough cleaning. I don't… know if this was incompetence or trying to make as much money as they can but my suggestion is if you ever go to Dr.Melanie Allen before you commit to any dental work I WOULD GET A SECOND OPINION. 100 % satisfied, Dr. Allen is very professional as her staff, makes you feel at home , facility very clean with the latest equipment. She is gentle and pleasant I do not hesitate one second to recommend her highly.

My visit was great! Not only is Dr Allen and her staff knowledgeble and gentle, they were caring and I felt "at home". I noticed they treated everyone the same friendly way.

I met Dr. Allen for the first time last week. I thought she was very caring. She spent a lot of time talking to me and answered all my questions. I had a tooth extracted and she was just as good or even better than some of the oral surgeons I have seen. She was very quick! I didn't even know we were finished. I worried more about the surgery than the time it actually took to take it out. Her bedside manner really puts you at ease. I am recommending her to everyone I know that needs a tooth pulled.
