Melanie Barrett

I am a patient of Dr Barrett’s and I can say with all honesty that she is one of the reasons I’m still here. Through many years of depression/bi polar, I went thru many many medication changes and I have always felt like my old drs didn’t really care or understand what I was going thru. Dr Barrett has listened to me and we have come up with plans to get better. I can truly say after years of dr’s not helping nor the medications, that I am so much better with what Dr Barrett has done for me. If you need or want someone who really cares about what you’re going thru and will do everything she can to get you better, Dr Barrett is definitely the dr to go to!

I’m not sure why there are so many negative reviews. I’m honestly puzzled by this. Dr. Barrett is a fantastic doctor! She takes the time to really listen and remembers things that are important to you with every appointment. I am in medicine and on my word, she is one of the rare doctors you hope you can find in your lifetime. She has been a miracle for my wife!

I found Dr. Barrett through my insurance carrier. I didn't look her up to see the reviews. I must say she was very nice to me. The only thing was she seemed to be guarded or uncomfortable. I felt that immediately. I was so depressed, I just needed to talk with someone. Her uncomfortableness may have came from my beauty or my skin color. I'm going to say my beauty. She spent 20 minutes with me. The only thing she suggested was to increase a medication that I was taking from my Oncologist that's used for night sweats, this medication also works as an anti-depressant. Her body language showed that she was closed off. She had a pen and paper and didn't write anything down. I'm not sure if I would recommend her to others..it could have just been me :(

She was cold and uncaring. She doesn't or doesn't want to hear you. It's her way or the highway, take it or see someone else.

She is the result of a medical school and has head knowledge without wisdom an discernment to see past the patient as text book problem but a person who is in pain and needs help
